Sneak Peek at the New Zecco Mobile App

PLEASE NOTE: More recent updates on Zecco’s mobile trading app can be found here:

When I asked you for feedback on what traders expect from a great mobile trading app, many of you kindly offered your input. Your collective suggestions were invaluable and helped our product team create what we consider a truly amazing trading app.

So what would such an amazing app look like? Here are some screen shots our product team took to give you a sneak peek at what we’ve been up to.

Your portfolio in real-time

As you can see, you’ll get quick, one-tap access to your portfolio, market overview, watch lists, quotes screen, all your trade alerts, plus settings to customize your Zecco mobile experience.

The portfolio screen uses streaming real-time quotes for an up-to-the minute view of your holdings. Plus you can expand and collapse each of your trading accounts and watch lists so you can quickly focus on the data you need to make your trading decisions.

Trading on the go

An easy-to-read order entry screen helps to speed up your order entry – and of course quotes are updated in real-time. Whether you want to trade stocks, ETFs, options, or mutual funds, placing a trade takes just a few seconds.

An at-a-glance view of all your orders

View your orders (all, open, or executed) with helpful color-coded indicators for an at-a-glance display of their status. Tap any order to quickly see more details.

Need to make a change? All it takes is a few seconds to modify an order, or to place a cancel request.

Advanced charting and indicators

Whether you want to see a one-day chart or years worth of data for a stock you’re reviewing, you can customize your charts with a variety of style options and indicator overlays.

Plus, you can compare the relative performance of any two stocks or ETFs in any time frame you choose.

Safe and secure

The safety and security of your data is of utmost importance of course. You can rest assured that we’ve designed our app with a safe and secure automatic sign-in feature. It’s no fun to lose your phone, but if you do, your Zecco Trading account is password protected against potential unauthorized access.

Let us know what you think!

So there it is, the first view of our new mobile app. It may not be the first, but I’m betting it will be the best mobile trading app you’ve ever used.

After all, it is our mission to deliver the best online trading and investment experience, whether on the web or on your mobile device.

I’d like to thank everyone who contributed their ideas and suggestions for our new mobile app. We aim to start beta testing for our customers toward the latter part of this year. In the meantime, if you have any (additional) comments on this sneak peak, please let me know in the comments below.

So what happened? Is it still coming? It has 2 months do we any more updates?

  • ImpatientClient

I was thinking the same thing. This is ridiculous!! Update please

  • Nick

Obviously we need an outside programmer to develop a trading app for the Android system to function with Zecco or this will NEVER get off the ground, especially since the Android system just eclipsed the I-Phone in usage customers. This delay is the very reason I continue to do all of my trades through my TD account…

Lovely interface! Can’t wait to have it and use it on my iPhone.

Would be even great if it is designed as a hybrid app to make use of the extra real-estate of iPad, so we could glance more information at once.

  • Watsontra

    ipad app too?

  • dber870

I’m really glad this is coming out. I like Zecco but was seriously considering changing to a broker that does have a mobile trading app. I was actually in the process today when I came across this page, and I still might use another until this app does come out.

  • Rjkidder

I think the app looks great. I have Android and hope the app appears for me soon.

  • Robert

Zecco, you officially have a reason to jump on the Android dev bandwagon: More potential customers than developing for iOS:

With all the corporations supplying Blackberry’s these days and Android’s increasingly growing market share, I can’t believe you would start with only one app, being iPhone. You are well behind other brokers from the technology standpoint and customers will defect if you don’t catch up.

Thing needs to be released already!

  • Mani

I think it’s great. For me, the simpler the better. My priority with Zecco is keeping cost low. If that means very basic interface, it’s OK with me. I wouldn’t invest in any research given the myriad available online today.

  • Chris Davis

When is the expected release of this app? I’ve been waiting for this for a while! :)

  • Jake A C

It seems to be a 8-1 ratio of andriod to iphone users that are reading this. It would only make sence to come out with an andriod app. Im sure more people would sign up for zecco with the low rates and a ANDRIOD app! Make it rain! lets go!

  • Ms4change

HTC EVO Android. Android is now the No.1 selling operating system. Yes Android not iphone. I do trade mainly by phone so Zecco is a very small portion of my overall trading and will be until they produce and android app. Etrade has good app and so Zecco needs to create a good one.

  • dpd83hd

Android support is a MUST. Being able to trade/monitor stocks from my phone is a major point for me. I agree with a lot of the other comments that are debating whether there are a significant amount of more iPhone users than Android. I hope the android version is considered sooner rather than later!

  • Al

    yes, Android please.

  • Al

A basic version with simple trading functions would be nice to have on Android. The advanced charting/alart can come later.

  • Russ

    When is it being released?

  • http://twitter.com/saberahul saberahul

Yes, when is this being released?

  • ZeccoFAIL

HOW MUCH SLOWER CAN YOU GUYS BE??? A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR CORP AND STILL NO APP RELEASED?? THE AVERAGE JOE CAN MAKE THIS APP WITHIN A WEEK AND USE 1/100TH THE RESOURCES YOUR SO CALLED PROGRAMMERS USE

  • Jake A C

Bump for andriod app! This platform is exploding! Zecco can steal the market, and have people trading more often. I would trade 2 – 3 times as much with a driod app.

  • http://www.register-domainname.in/ Domain Registration India

Yeah, Lynnie i am agree with you and Blackberry is the most secure device.

  • OverclockedGod

It’s now 03/2012 and still no Andriod app. I’m starting to think it will never happen.
