Zecco Mobile for Android is Coming!

The last couple of months I’ve been writing about the many great improvements we’re rolling out at Zecco. No matter what I’m announcing, some of you never fail to ask: “What about Zecco Mobile for Android?”

This makes sense of course, knowing how successful the Android platform has become. So, I’m pleased to let you know we’re counting down to the release of Zecco Mobile for Android!

We did hear you all that time. Our team has not only been working hard to deliver upgrades to the Zecco Trading Center and our 4 star rated iPhone app, but also began testing a completely new application for Android smartphones, which should be available early in 2012.

You demanded both mobile equity and options trading, so we made that the centerpiece of the Android app. Not only that, it will include many of the features we’re unveiling in our new Zecco Trading Center, such as Extended Hours trading and pre-defined options strategies.

You’ll get one-tap access to your portfolio, watch lists, quotes and trade alerts – all synced with the Zecco site.

Streaming real-time quotes give you an up-to-the-minute (or should I say second?) picture of your portfolio and the market.

While I’m eager to put this new app in customers’ hands, our first priority had to be the new Zecco Trading Center, since both our new Android and iPhone apps rely on its core technology platform.

Thanks for being so patient. Trust me though, it’ll be worth the wait.

I suggested to them some time back just to build a decent mobile site. Then there is none of this platform not being supported issues or having to have multiple guys to work on several platforms. But I guess apps are the in thing these days.

Does anyone know when Zecco will be ready on Android?

  • Soronchi

Exactly, I won’t even need the app, I just use my phone to go to the full website, which has far more tools and I can go to charts and look at the indicators and even execute trades. I highly doubt the app will have technical indicators but would be a pleasant surprise if it did.
