We Are Rolling Out the New Zecco Trading Center!

I am very happy to announce that we have begun rolling out the new Zecco Trading Center to all our customers.

I would like to give a shout-out to our development team for all the great work they have been doing. Our goal is to make Zecco the best value in online trading. The new Trading Center is a huge step in that direction.

We are improving every aspect of our offering, giving you the things you’ve asked for most, like extended hours trading, conditional orders and pre-configured options strategy trading. The new, more powerful trading platform is designed to help you make better investing decisions and act on them quickly.

We now support a much broader range of order types – so you can get an edge in this volatile market. Features like trailing stops and bracket orders are not just for professionals anymore. Zecco is offering them to everyone.

If you trade options, pre-configured options strategies make orders much faster to build and enter. Just insert a symbol and choose from a range of strategies. Options chains show you how different strike prices compare and the Options Analyzer tool lets you see a profit and loss graph for the entire position you’re taking.

And unlike some firms that have a separate trading platform reserved for hyper-active traders who do hundreds of trades a month, we’re making all these advanced capabilities available to everyone of you.

Rolling out the new Trading Center is not the end of the line of course. The development team is already getting ready for the release of new Zecco Mobile apps for both the iPhone and Android platforms. They are not getting much sleep.

    Your company is going in the right direction. Your new trading center and support for additional types of orders allows you to compete more effectively with other older well-established online brokers. Even though you now do what they do better, remember what sets you apart. Mobile is king. Social is king. Combining the two gives you a competitive advantage. This next year is the perfect time for you to expand your social marketing. Here is one idea that you can use or throw away:

    Your current promotion is a $100 friend referral.   meh…  lacks punch. it’s only for a month? and what incentive is there for a friend to put money in especially if there is extra small writing that says if the friend doesn’t put in at least 10k for 90-days then nobody gets anything? Who are you targeting by the way.. certainly young social mobile investors who think $100 is worth the time to refer a friend.. certainly not a seasoned long-term investor who checks his 200k retirement fund yearly for dividend gains. 

    So make your referral program a youthful social mobile game:

    Create the “Zecco 10k Challenge” 

    Zecco members will receive $100 for each of their Facebook or email-invited friends who create a Zecco account to accept the challenge of a 90day investment competition. All competitors will be allowed to make as many trades as they like. Total fund-transfers over $10k into the 90day challenge account will mean exclusion from winning the competition. The person who has the most uninvested cash at the end of the 90-day period get’s a $100+ bonus depending on how many new Zecco members are competing in their group. 

    Zecco Facebook App can update a user of his friends trading and social activity as well as his progress/ranking during this time. For marketing, his wall could simply have a single unobtrusive post “Mr.Z has entered into the Zecco $10k Challenge!”   …possibly an additional “Mr.Z has won the Zecco $10k Challenge!” for the winner.

    Increased members, increased trades, increased community. All good things right?

    So, after the 90days, you can keep it going by offering the general member base continuous 90-day, $10k/$50k challenges. 

    Bonuses continue only for new member signups. However, the status of being followed/subscribed2, getting thumbs up props, or simply being known and advertised as #1 will be the most valuable reward. 

    I’m sure there’s a way to make secondary accounts or somehow separate money from the individual user’s main cash account while the 90-day contest is going on. After the contest, results are posted, stats figures are saved, archived and reset for another contest. The user can transfer funds in/out to equal $10k or $50k again, and another contest begins after a few days of cool down. 

    The account can be set up like a regular individual account, with account sharing turned on for the competition. Users can initially fund an account after the start date if they like, however if total funds added exceed the cap during the competition, or if account sharing is turned off, then the user is excluded from winning that quarter’s competition.

    This social strategy effectively utilizes your firm’s two keywords to their best advantage. It also encourages core competitive features like account sharing and groups. And it may lead to more active trading, presumably making your company more money in the process. Some traders may want to check their competition account daily on their mobile phone at work or on the way to their kid’s soccer game. The initial $10k investment is relatively low, giving even long-term traders little reason not to dabble in a social game against fellow investor friends. Fathers can compete against sons, college investment club members against each other, wife against husband? Even Zecco groups, while not competing directly against each other, could average their group’s earnings to compare themselves vs other groups. Whether a competitor makes one trade at the beginning and holds till the end, trend-trades, or day-trades, this facilitated game with real money is sure to increase posts through lively discussions as well as instill in members the spirit of a youthful marketplace. May the best strategy win!
